About me
Jessica Villalobos is a former Executive Director for the Language & Cultural Equity department of Albuquerque Public Schools. As a director, she oversaw Dual Language and EL programs as well as assessments, teacher support, and family & community support in those areas. Jessica was a secondary Dual Language and ELD classroom teacher for over a decade and still considers herself to be an educator at heart. Jessica, an emergent bilingual herself, developed a passion for education, high-quality language programs, equity, and access for underserved students. Throughout her career, she has continued to be a voice of advocacy for students and families. She has previously served as a member of the State of New Mexico Biliteracy Progressions Task Force, providing statewide teacher training to address the needs and academic language development of culturally and linguistically diverse students.
