About me
Alison is a 25 - year veteran bilingual educator who grew up in the borderlands, between El Paso, Las Cruces, and San Diego . She was also a second language learner herself as a child overseas, when her family moved to Israel. Her personal journey informs her empathetic approach to teaching. She has extensive experience serving the Spanish-speaking community, both adults and children, on the Border as well as with Muslim women speakers of Arabic, Dari, and Bengali. She is a bilingual middle school teacher, whose ultimate goal is fostering plurilingual success of all kinds across diverse age groups and contexts.
